LeadWell Research

In order to understand the economic and social impact of the nonprofit sector in Lancaster County, the LeadWell Advisory Committee recommended that the Community Foundation commission a two-part study.  The first part of the study examined the economic impact of the nonprofit sector in our county.  It was conducted by the Local Economy Center at Franklin & Marshall College by examining IRS documents submitted by approximately 700 tax-exempt organizations.

The second part of the study examined the social impact of the nonprofit sector.  The Center for Opinion Research at Franklin & Marshall College collected data by conducting telephone interviews with approximately 800 county residents.
