In applying prudent fiscal policies, the Foundation’s Board of Directors has established fees to provide for the ongoing management and administration of our funds.  Fees are structured with the objective that each fund supports the financial and transaction services provided to it.  In this way, fees are distributed more fairly as funds with increased administration are charged accordingly.  Unlike most commercial gift funds, the foundation’s administration fees serve the Lancaster County community, where they Create Extraordinary Community for generations to come.

• Standard management and administration services required by each fund, such as financial statement preparation, investment oversight, preparation of annual audit, required overhead, and impactful grant-making and evaluation processes.
  
• An impactful community resource that benefits our community forever.
  
• A knowledgeable and passionate staff that offers personalized service, education, and connections to strategic funding opportunities.
  
• Technical assistance to local nonprofit organizations.
  
• A center of expertise about community opportunities, effective charitable organizations, and community leadership.

 Each fund is subject to two fees: 

Investment Management Fees:  Negotiated and charged by each investment manager (fee amounts vary); investment returns are received and posted to funds net of investment management fees.* 

Administration Fees:  Tiered to reflect economies of scale and applied to current market value of each fund; see rates below.*

* Annual fees are prorated and charged monthly
** Minimum Contribution Level can be achieved over five years 

The Foundation reserves the right to negotiate additional charges as necessary for special services.  Fees are effective as of January 1, 2008, and are subject to change by the Board of Directors.
